Sand Salt and Honey
Cooloola, part of the Great Sandy Region is an amazing windsculpted wilderness. Its formation over the last 400 000 years has created a unique coastline with a rich diversity of local plant communities.
I feel a strong connection with the wallum country that surrounds the Noosa River and extends east to the surf of the Pacific Ocean. The ancient history of this area evident in the geology and remnants of aboriginal middens, have always fascinated me. With my work in sand salt and honey, I hope to present viewers with the opportunity to become more familiar with the intimate details of the local landscape that mean so much to me.
